Fake News Isn't Fake After All

There has been much hype recently over websites that publish "fake news". While there is a lot of fake news published daily, one of the most controversial topics is that of how austerity has affected the poorest and most vulnerable in society.

According to an article posted by google on October 5th, featuring information from "the uk's independent fact checking charity" according to analysis of tax and benefit policies, austerity HAS had a negative effect.

However, in order to keep the opinion of austerity as "positive" as they possibly can, the article also points out that "the poorest UK households have seen their post-tax incomes rise faster than any other group since 2010".

These are interesting claims considering their first comment was that austerity had negatively impacted the poorest and most vulnerable. If that's the case, how is it possible that these same people are somehow better off?

One of the statements must be a lie.
